Digital Tutors (Local language focus: Bini, Ijaw, Ibibio, Tiv, Idoma, Fulani)

Job Description
The digital tutor is responsible for presenting the educational content in an exciting and captivating manner to the target audience.  They work with the production team to create a uniquely African educational experience for children between 2 and 10 years. Their love for kids must permeate the work they deliver along with their infectiously pleasant personalities. These individuals must exude passion and excitement in their delivery and the ideal candidates should be charming individuals in every sense of the word.

Requirements

  1. BA/B.Sc/HND degree with a minimum of second class upper or upper credit
  2. Extensive teaching and/or tutoring experience; preferably for 3 years at least;
  3. Expertise in after-school tutoring of children between 2 to 10 years
  4. Possess a strong character, a solid work ethic, and a pleasant personality;
  5. Have the ability to bring excitement and passion to tutoring; and
  6. Have outstanding professional references

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Work with the Director of Education and Content writers to understand and deliver a unique digital tutoring experience via video
  2. Work under the direction of the production manager during video shoots
  3. Read scripts properly, own the content and deliver in a passionate and exciting manner bringing their tutoring experience to bear in their communication
  4. Discuss any creative issues with directors and supervisors
  5. Delivery of storyboard per production schedule set by the production team
  6. Communicate with production team regarding deadlines and deliveries
  7. Ensure quality and style of delivery is consistent with the storyboard plan
  8. Seek opportunities to deploy indigenous styles for ease of understanding by the target audience

Motion Graphics Artist /Animator

Job Description

The motion graphics artist will transform content to 2D and 3D animations that will be delivered in digital format across websites and apps. The animator works with different specialist software packages which are used to create and animate characters, and add scenery. The individual will work with educational content directors, artists, editors, and producers to create final designs so interpersonal skills are required. They will need to be capable of delivering (with ease and under tight schedules) character animation and motion graphics.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Creating characters, backgrounds, and scene transitions, bringing creative ideas and concepts to life.
  1. Motion graphics artists are responsible for the creative process at different stages. Conceptualization, storyboarding, animating, and editing are just a few of the phases involved. Other duties may include keyframing and typography.

Qualification/Requirements

  1. A BSc or HND degree with a minimum of the second class or upper credit.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Ability to follow storyboard and design reference accurately and work in a range of styles and with minimum supervision;
  4. Working knowledge and experience with Adobe After Effects (including Duik, Boa Bones, and other plugins; Forward-Inverse Kinematics, Puppet Pins 3rd party plugins. Red Giant Trapcode Suite, VideoCopilot Suite including Element 3d and others, Plexus, Newton and other Physics Simulators, Motion V2, etc.), ToonBoom, Character Animator, Adobe Animator, and Photoshop Timeline Animation, etc.; and
  5. Good planning and time management skills
