  • Imose’s Charge to Women for International Women’s Day 2025

Imose’s Charge to Women for International Women’s Day 2025

As women worldwide planned to celebrate International Women’s Day on 8 March 2025, the women of Imose Technologies gathered for a breakfast meeting on Friday 7 March.

The event hosted by our Executive Director, Taiye Osayi-Izedonmwen, with the guest speaker as Mrs Yemi Ojo-Aromokudu, Founder, Yela Education Services and former Chairman of Family Life Conference, was themed “Charge.”

“Charge” was our company’s expression of the global theme, “Accelerate Action,” and our guest speaker, Mrs Ojo-Aromokudu, started her talk by stating that women must work twice as hard as men to be respected and acknowledged in society and business. Thereafter, she gave her “charge” to women as follows:

    1. Value – Women will not be given respect and acknowledgement because they are women or because they are beautiful. To be respected, they must value themselves and let people know how they want to be addressed.
    1. Boldness – Women who take charge are bold. The world will not hand you what you want or deserve. Being introverted is not an excuse for not taking charge.
    1. Vision – A woman who will accelerate and take charge of her life must have a vision. She must envision her life for the next five to 10 years, write it down and pursue it. That is how she will be able to track and evaluate her achievements in future. Her vision should be for her entire life, not just about her job—as a woman, wife, mother and career woman. The vision will be reviewed, rewritten and revised depending on the seasons of life. The vision must also be supported by a purpose and goals to make it achievable.
    1. Community – Every woman must have a community. In her community, there must be burden bearers who share in her challenges and push her to attain her goals and gatekeepers who hold keys to open doors to opportunities. A woman who is charged and accelerating must also use the opportunities presented by gatekeepers wisely, or they will shut the door. The other category of people women should have people in their community are promoters and counsellors.
    1. Prioritising self – Women must be kind to themselves.  They must proactively make time to relax and de-stress. Every woman de-stresses differently, so know yourself and how you de-stress. Women must be intentional about prioritising their mental, emotional and physical health.
    1. Self-belief – Understand your strengths because everyone has weaknesses, but self-belief enables you to pick up yourself when you fail. It is okay to fall, but when you fall, it is a crime to remain there. One of the ways to get back up is to reach out and ask for help. Asking for help is a strength and not a weakness.
    1. Working smart – Women must get their priorities right, set goals and break their goals into smaller tasks to make them more achievable. Dispose of non-value-adding relationships. Be a God-pleaser and not a man-pleaser. Don’t work for your salary; work for the improvement and growth of the company. Don’t work for money; work for wealth. Money is spent but wealth can be relationships. Wealth is enduring and keeps growing.

To wrap up the meeting, our Executive Director reiterated the importance of value: women valuing themselves and creating value. She stated that this can be achieved through self-awareness, urging women to seek resources and books to help them become self-aware.

  • Imose Welcomes Minister of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, Dr. ’Bosun Tijani

Imose Welcomes Minister of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, Dr. ’Bosun Tijani

On Friday, we had the privilege of hosting the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. ’Bosun Tijani, at our assembly factory in Lagos. During his visit, the Minister witnessed firsthand the assembly processes behind our mobile phones, tablets, and other devices.

In a welcome address, our Chairman and Founder, Osayi Izedonmwen, provided Dr. Tijani with an overview of our journey, from importing devices to local assembly and becoming the leading indigenous mobile phone and tablet brand in West Africa.

“We began local assembly with our flagship IM-10 desktop phones in 2018. By 2021, we introduced our Omotab series, children’s educational tablets that quickly became the highest-selling indigenous tablets in the region,” Izedonmwen shared.

During the visit, Dr. Tijani remarked that “meaningful connectivity cannot be achieved without affordable devices.” His visit aimed to explore ways the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy could support Nigerian companies like ours in simplifying production processes, ensuring our products are both available and accessible to Nigerians.

Our Chairman and Founder emphasized the need for affordability in the smartphone market, stating, “For Nigeria to achieve pervasive broadband access, we must prioritize affordable smartphones, especially for low-income earners and underserved communities.”

He also pointed out the significant cost burden of batteries in smartphones, proposing that local production of lithium batteries could drastically reduce these costs. “Nigeria is rich in lithium resources, yet much of it is currently exported. As a leader in smart device production, we see an opportunity for backward integration. We envision a future where we lead the charge in producing smartphone batteries right here in Nigeria.”

At Imose Technologies, we are committed to driving innovation, creating affordable tech solutions for Nigerians, and supporting the growth of the digital economy. We believe that with the right support, we can build a future where quality technology is accessible to all Nigerians.

Pioneering the Future of Nigerian Technology

Our journey began with a simple but powerful idea, to build an indigenous brand that meets the needs of Nigerians through affordable and innovative devices. The NASENI Zedon X-Pro laptop, now one of the first products to emerge from this collaboration, exemplifies this mission. Designed with a Core i5 processor and a 14-inch display, this laptop offers a blend of power, portability, and future-ready applications, catering to students, professionals, and anyone in search of a reliable device that supports learning, productivity, and entertainment.

Likewise, the 10.5-inch tablet combines functionality and mobility, enabling users to handle a variety of tasks with ease, from document editing and drawing to video streaming and gaming. This partnership with NASENI is a natural alignment of shared values. Both Imose and NASENI are committed to bolstering local content and industrialization while delivering practical solutions that uplift the nation. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of NASENI, speaks to the essence of this collaboration: “Imose and NASENI are here to bridge Nigeria’s technological gap by developing reliable, locally manufactured devices that reduce our dependency on imported technology.”

For Imose, this journey has been about more than just product creation. As our Chairman, Osayi Izedonmwen, affirms, “Our dedication to solving Nigeria’s unique challenges through technology has always been central to our mission. With NASENI, we have the opportunity to expand that mission, creating real change for Nigerians and advancing digital access across our communities.”

    Empowering Nigeria Through Local Production

Starting with public sector orders, followed by availability for private companies and individuals, this rollout is a testament to our belief in Nigerian talent, resources, and the capability of our people to drive impactful change. We envision a future where Nigerian government agencies, educational institutions, businesses, and individual users will rely on locally crafted NASENI devices, strengthening our national cybersecurity and advancing our digital self-reliance.

With this partnership, Imose is excited to continue shaping the future of technology in Nigeria, making a lasting impact through homegrown solutions that inspire and empower.
